Konkona Sen Sharma is a talented actress of the current generation and has given life to many characters. Konkona Sen Sharma is the daughter of journalist Mukul Sharma and filmmaker and actor Aparna Sen. She made her entry into films through the movie Indira,as a child artist. In 2000, she acted in her 1st Bengali movie, Ek Je Aachhe Kanya,which was a thriller.
Talent of Konkona Sen Sharma in the film Mr and Mrs Iyer, in which she performed the character of a South-Indian mother, was acclaimed in the national level. Her role as a journalist in the film Page 3, was very accepted by the audience. After this movie, she acted in many films and has also received good comments on her acting skills. For her captivating performance in Omkara and Life In A Metro, she received Filmfare Best Supporting Actress for two successive years.
She proved her versatility through films like 15 Park Avenue and Traffic Signal. In the former film portrayed the role of a Schizophrenic and in the latter, she enacted the role of a prostitute. She acted in 2 commercial movies made by Yash Raj films. She also wore the director's cap with Naamkoron, a short 18-minute film in Bengali.
