Aluminum has been in use for over 100 years; however, manufacturers introduced the aluminum composite panel about 50 years ago. Distinguished for its lightweight strength, resilience and corrosion resistance, aluminum is used in residential, transportation and consumer goods applications. Aluminum panels for siding and walls require regular upkeep to remove surface contaminates that can discolor and mar their finish. Dirt, tree sap, bugs and bird droppings inevitably accumulate on aluminum panels, causing their shiny surfaces to weather over time. Regardless of the function of aluminum panels, simple cleaning can immediately revitalize its appearance.
Here are some pieces of suggestions for you to do the cleaning:
First, let the aluminum panel fully cool and spray it with water to loosen and detach grimy fragments. For the first time of cleaning your Aluminium Panel , it must take sufficient water to make a complete cleaning.
Second, pour 1 tablespoon of alkali-free liquid detergent into a bucket while filling it with 1 gallon of warm water. Stir the detergent mixture well.
Third, dip a soft nylon brush into the detergent concoction. Scrub a 2-by-2-foot section of the panel with the soapy brush, starting at the bottom of the panel and moving upward to completely clean that section.
Fourth, spray the freshly cleaned 2-by-2-foot section with water. Rinse off all detergent and gunk.
Fifth, continue cleaning each 2-by-2-foot section of the panel, working upward. Concentrate on one section at once, thoroughly rinsing each section before moving on to the next.
Sixth, rinse the entire aluminum panel to ensure all detergent is flushed away.
Seventh, examine the panel for lingering tree sap. If sap remains, wipe it off the aluminum surface, using a cloth soaked with a solvent such as denatured alcohol.
Eighth, rinse the solvent and loosened sap off the aluminum panel, using the garden hose.
Ninth, let the aluminum panel fully air dry.
What calls for special attention is that:
First, do not to clean the surface of a hot aluminum panel, and the surface temperature cannot exceed 40 degrees, because this temperature will lead to excessive evaporation of water vapor, which would damage the stoving varnish of aluminum panel.
Last but not least, make sure that you have selected a suitable detergent for a basic set of parameters must be in consideration: detergents must be neutral and gentle, strong alkaline detergents must not be applied, such as potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate and so on.
When doing the daily cleaning, you should pay extra attention to the emphasis in order to keep the performance and prolong the lifespan of aluminum panel.
