I have seen women fret around even about the minutest of things. The one thing I never followed was why women always remained frustrated about every single thing in their lives, whether it's their weight or their skin! Well, some of the social butterflies I knew even went in for a cosmetic surgery (No, she was not an aspiring model!) The obsessions to remain perfect are something I have observed in my group. This girl I knew went in for a surgery only because she had a big nose! Well, sadly she did not think about accentuating her other features rather than going under the knife. Often the svelte photographs of models on the covers of fashion magazines cause many women to feel dissatisfied about their looks. But ladies! It's not always that to need to opt for a surgery! Women with big noses need not worry about getting a surgery done! Luckily, I have a friend who had a nose for fashion and things related with beauty. The both of us did manage to come up with some useful tips and ideas about hairstyles for women with big noses!A good hairstyle only helps to accentuate your features. A good hairstylist can make all the difference. Every hairstyle can help to give you different looks. But what you need to do is opt for the appropriate one that tones down certain areas of the face you do not wish to highlight. The first rule about hairstyles for women with big noses - avoid short hairstyles. Short hair brings more attention to the face. If you opt for the cutesy pixie or sexy bob cut¦it surely will not flatter you in any way. Short hair suit women with petite features. omen with big noses can bring the attention away from the nose with the help of a layered haircut. Medium length hair trimmed in stylish layers help to soften the contours of the face. With the right hairstylist you can decide upon the way it can be styled to emphasize other features. Curls spell fun, curls spell attitude and curls are meant for everyone! Curly hairstyles are still creating waves although such hairdos are given strict competition by sedu hairstyles. Curly hairstyles whether tight, wavy or simply loose, are considered to be really hot and are being flaunted by many celebrities who have walked the red carpet. In fact some are even saying her singing career is over and her hair is a part of the reason why. Bad choices with hair can lend to bad situations.
Here's one mistake that we often make with our hairstyle. You see someone that has a hairstyle that looks great on them. I mean they are either a movie star or they look like one. We then think to ourselves that if they look that good with it then we'll look just as good. There is one problem. We don't. Good looking hairstyles don't work for everyone. Certain factors come into play. The color of our hair, how much hair we have, the shape of our face and head and our build. You have to take these important factors to heart before picking the right hairstyle.
One of the best choices you can make is to go into a hair saloon and ask the professional that is cutting your hair what style would look best on me. Don't say you want to look like Jennifer Lopez or some other actor. 2008 is all about that hairstyle that makes ME unique and looks good on ME.Thickness or thinness of hair depends on the volume of hair, and volume is nothing but the number of individual strands per square inch of your scalp. If the bulk volume of your hair is more, it means you have thick hair, and if less, then it simply means that you have thin hair. Women with thick hair often complain and seek ways and means to manage their hair. On the other hand, women with thin hair envy those with thick hair. But, the grass always looks greener on the other side; it's a fact that finding the right kind of hairstyle for thick hair is a very challenging task.Naturally curly hair is quite unique as compared to other types of hair. Styling curly hair is mainly about reducing frizz and defining the curls. Afro style, braids, dreadlocks, cornrows and long or short curly hair are some of the most famous curly hairstyles of today. Let's check out some of them.Afro style: One of the most popular hairstyles for African Americans is the afro style. Although it was popularized in the sixties and the seventies, its origin dates back to the early Egyptian times. This hairstyle does not come naturally; rather, having very curly hair is one of its prerequisites. It is a hairstyle in which the hair extends out from the head like a halo or a cloud.Hair Braids: Braid, also called a plait, is another very common and popular African American style of plaiting hair. Sections of hair are interlaced together and sported by children and adults. There are many styles of braids such as box braids, cornrows, French braid, Dutch braid (inverted French braid), etc. This hairstyle can be sported in school proms, weddings and also as a casual hairstyle.Dreadlocks: Dreadlocks, also known as locks or dreads, give your hair, a matted look. For this hairstyle, hair are let to grow naturally, without combing or conditioning for a long period of time. Later, the hair strands are interlocked by various methods like backcombing and hand rolling, to bring about a matted look. This style was popularized by Bob Marley in the seventies and lately by Lenny Kravitz.Cornrows: This hairstyle was most recently sported by David Beckham who popularized it. This hairstyle has been there for long, but was first seen in Africa. This is a form of hair braid that needs little care or maintenance. For this style, the hair is plaited into a series of French braid-like locks, close to the scalp, which run down the back of the neck. As the name suggests, they look like straight lines but can also be given various geometrical shapes and curves. There are many different forms of cornrows for men to choose from.Tips for Styling Curly Hair Curly hair is generally dry. This type of hair lacks moisture, so it is very important keep it moisturized. When we shampoo, we strip our scalp of anything good that has reached the hair shafts. In short, we dehydrate them. Hence a good moisturizing shampoo works wonders for curly hair. Also, the best way to do curly hair is to style them while they are wet. By using shampoos and styling creams, one can avoid dryness and frizz. To avoid frizz, one should not use blowers, as they further devoid the scalp of moisture. Daily shampooing is a strict no-no; instead, curly hair should be washed every 2-3 days with a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioned with a moisturizing conditioner.Curly hairstyles generally suit faces that are oval, diamond, oblong or square-shaped. These hairstyles are attention grabbers and moreover, sensual and cute. So, if you have naturally curly hair, embrace their true nature and enjoy the attention.Hairstyles throw light on the social condition of the society. Along with time, hairstyles alter. Dressed in saffron, a beard and long hair adding to the appearance, this sage has been reading palm lines for the past decade. He has a quota of customers who unknowingly carry an entire write up of their personalities, capabilities and demerits on their palms. The sage is the one who can read this symbolic language of palm lines. Our palm is one of the most used organs of our body and irrespective of our genetics and physical features, it gets shaped in a certain manner, with the palm lines indicating certain traits of our personality. This simple logic was applied by Honorable and Holy Sage Valmiki, for the development of the art and science of palmistry, which he put down in writing in 'The Teachings of Valmiki Maharshi on Male Palmistry', which is a collection of 567 verses. You may also refer to palm reading, which contains some comprehensive information on the topic. But have a look at the basics of reading palm lines first.

The art of palmistry, traveled from ancient India to numerous regions and civilizations. This wide spread practice of palmistry, is also sometimes known as chiromancy and the people who practice this art are known as palmists, chirologists or simply as palm readers, hand readers and hand analysts. Psychology and astrology are often combined with palmistry by modern palm readers. However, core palmistry by Valmiki involved interpretations of a persons personality and behavior. Palm structures usually does not tell you anything very deep and accurate about your future. In contrast, palm reader will tell you more about your abilities and demerits and what you should do in future. Proceeding to 'how to read palms'¦ Heart Line: While reading palm lines, readers usually take into consideration the heart line first. Often considered to be the line that deals with one's health, the heart line starts below your right hand's index fingers and travels to the outer side of the palm i.e.: towards the little finger (also known as the pinky). This line basically indicates physical and emotional health and its behavior can be easily interpreted. For example if your heart line starts directly beneath your first finger, then you are contented with your love life or your emotional state of mind. In case if it originates between middle finger and index finger, then it indicates that you are a person who gives away your heart to people quite easily. A line starting below the middle finger indicates that you tend to have a materialistic approach to things. Over all the line defines your physical and emotional health.Head Line: The head line starts at the edge of the palm under your index finger. The line line starts traveling towards the other edge of the palm. People are often under the misconception that the head line represents the intellectual capacity of the human being. While reading your palm lines, bear in mind that the head line depicts the manner in which you think. A short line indicates that you aim at physical achievements than mental ones. The slope of this line indicates creativity. The straightness of the line indicates your level of focused thinking. The more straight the line the more realistic the thinking. Irregularity and breaks in such a line signifies emotional crisis or nervous breakdowns.Life Line: The life line is the last significant line and is the most controversial of all palm lines. While reading palm lines, bear in mind that this line deals with the quality and quantity of your life, and it is not possible to tell the number of years for which you will live. The life line depicts different behavior for every person. For example a long line indicates that you shall have a good quality life or a small and dim line will tell you that you let others take control of you. If the line is a semicircular one, then you tend to have a very enthusiastic and energetic approach. It must be noted that a small line does not mean that you will lead a short life. You should start by learning the staff notations which show the player which note has to be played when. These staff notations work in the same manner as guitar tablatures. Learn the signs and symbols such as the bass clef and treble clef. You need to play the notes on the piano and understand the standard do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-ti sounds, which are set according to the C-D-E-F-G-A-B order on the keyboard.Remember that once you learn the positions of all sounds on one octave, you can play the same on any octave of the piano. A combination of these notes make a particular chord. In order to play complete chords, you will need to know what 'sharp' and 'flat' sounds the black notes produce. However, it is suggested that you learn to play simple piano songs with single notes first and then move on to using chords for the songs. You also need to concentrate on the hand placements on the black and white notes of the keyboard. While placing your hands on the keys, make sure both the hands are relaxed on the keys and move smoothly between the notes. The 'piano bench' is what the musicians sit on while playing the instrument. While sitting and playing, you need to have a correct posture to allow free and smooth flow of hands across the keyboard. Though my first crush happened to be a guitar, the first musical instrument that I actually managed to lay my hands upon was a piano keyboard. It was a Casio SA-1, a small and basic model that I was gifted when I was 8 years old. And even after all these years, I still remember quite vividly just how overjoyed I was, upon seeing an actual, real-life musical instrument in front of me. I was over the moon, and was bubbling with excitement about learning to play this oh-so-fancy keyboard of mine. So when I see people expressing a desire to learn piano keyboards, it instantly lights up my face as I go back in time to those lovely days, when I, as a young boy, was trying to learn how to play a keyboard. How to Play a Keyboard If you are a beginner, it is advisable that you begin with a piano keyboard and then move on to an actual piano at a later stage, if the piano is what you're really interested in. Let us begin with the basic music notes. There are twelve musical notes or semi-tones which form one musical octave. Starting with the 'C' note, the sequence of musical notes that make up one octave is as follows:'#' is a symbol used to denote the word 'sharp'. A keyboard has both white and black-colored keys. If you observe carefully, you will notice that the black keys are arranged throughout in groups of two's and three's. The first black key in the group of two denotes the note C#. Using the sequence of musical notes listed above, you can match each key with its corresponding note. Press each key starting from the 'C' note, and move upwards till you reach 'B'. Once you have completed this octave, repeat this process but in the reverse direction i.e. from 'B' to 'C'. This is called 'playing an octave'. Do this a few times so that you get a hang of the 'sound' of each note. There are basically two ways of learning any musical instrument:It is recommended that all beginners should follow the 2nd method as it helps to develop a good music sense and a 'musical ear'. Pick a simple song like "Doe, a deer" or "Happy birthday to you". Try and play it on your keyboard. Adopt a trial and error method to figure out what musical notes make up the song melody. Take your time and don't be in a rush. You won't get it at first, nobody does. Not even Elton John did. But practice and keep working at it. Practice, and I say this with utmost seriousness, is the one and only way of becoming a good keyboardist. Nobody becomes a Mozart or a Beethoven overnight; everyone has to work hard day and night, with lots of passion and devotion.Take Keyboard Lessons Becoming a self-taught keyboardist is fine, but if you want to learn the trade properly and progress at a faster rate, you should seriously consider taking up keyboard lessons. Google around for a few minutes and you'll be amazed at the amount of online music lessons that you will get. Those of you who, until a few minutes ago, were probably wondering "How to play piano keyboards?", be rest assured. But for this, we have to be able to play music comfortably. For many of us, it means that we need to learn to play a musical instrument. There are many types of musical instruments you can learn easily. However, a lot depends on your aptitude, talent and interest. Beginners tend to get confused by the wide variety of choices. However, with a little research, you will easily be able to decide which instrument can suit you the best. Your actual musical interests will decide the actual selection. Unless you like a particular music, you will not be interested enough to learn it. So, if piano sounds boring to you, it is better if you avoid learning it because otherwise, you may not be able to keep up your enthusiasm to master it. On the other hand if you have always loved the sound of a guitar, you may be able to do well with it because of your passion for it. Thus, listen to different types of music and choose the one that you love most. The next point to consider is the cost. It is possible that the music you want to learn is too costly for you. May be the instrument costs a lot or the tuitions are too expensive. Thus, try to select one that suits your budget. Also, consider taking tuitions that are offered in groups in order to reduce costs or get some free music software. If money is not a factor, you could opt for private tuitions that can offer you a lot of flexibility in timings. Consider also the amount of time you can devote to your lessons. If certain classes take a lot of your time or need a lot of practice, you may not be able to follow them. Unless, you have a lot of time at hand, it is better to choose instruments that do not demand heavy time dedication. Since learning music itself is challenging enough, you can make your task easier by choosing to learn on schedules that are comfortable for you. The key to learning quickly is paying attention to the instructor. You could buy CDs to learn or download music from the websites that give step by step instructions. You must be really involved in the training and be enthusiastic. You may not grasp the ABCs of the musical instrument immediately, so you need to be patient. Also, expose yourself to a lot of recordings by good players. Listen to the records as much as possible. Play it in your car audio, at home and whenever you have free time. You could also record music at home and check your progress.Another point is to notice your physical limitations when playing the instrument. A child or petite person may find certain instruments too heavy and may have to spend most of his energy in holding them. Similarly, certain musical instruments require long fingers or strong lung capabilities. You should check with the teacher or an experienced musician to find out whether you are up to the task.
