Toning the Hips Exercises

For women, toning your hips is always at the top of the "to do" list when it comes to exercise. Because we can give birth, we have more problems with our hips than men do. Well, problem solved. I have some "tricks" you can use to tone your hips really fast.


1. Hula Hooping

Who'd thought that a 1950's kids' toy would be a great exercise tool in the year 2008. But it is. In fact, I dare say that hula hooping is the best way to tone your whole waist area creating a beautiful feminine look to your midsection.

All you have to do is twirl the hula hoop around your waist for 10 minutes a day. You don't even need to do it all at once. You can break it up into 2 minute segments. That's what I do.

I do my hula hoop workout 2 minutes at a time during tv commercials. Since a one hour tv show has roughly 20-22 minutes of commercials playing, I use that time to hula hoop.

2. Swimming

Swimming has such a slimming and toning effect on the whole body. The only problem is, how do you find a pool you can use all year round. Instead of just plain swimming back and forth without stopping, I prefer that you swim as fast as you can from 1 side of the pool to the other side.

Once you get there, rest 30 seconds and keep repeating this for 20 minutes.

Those are 2 of the best hips toning exercises you can possibly do.
