The brand new Windows Phone 8X by HTC is one of the first flagship Windows Phone 8 devices hitting the market in the coming days. The phone will not disappoint users as it is designed to bring a much better, faster, and more personal and improved Windows Phone experience. The 8X weighs 4.6-ounce, measuring 5.2 inches tall by 2.6 inches wide by 0.4 inch thick. With a slim, sleek face and squared corners, the HTC Windows Phone 8X is crafted in a polycarbonate shell with a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display sporting a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Below the display are three capacitive buttons that allow you to go back, home and to the Bing search tool. Along with the squared-off and simple design, the handset is equipped with an ultra-wide 88-degree angle 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel shooter on the back with a single LED flash capable of capturing 1080p video and shooting high-res photos. Additionally, the Windows Phone X8 by HTC has a Qualcomm dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage. The 8X also comes with a mid-sized 1,800 mAh battery.

The back of the HTC Windows Phone 8X features a camera lens and LED flash near the top and a loudspeaker near the bottom. The handset also comes in a range of colours: a, quite frankly, hideous lollipop-lady yellow hue, respectable red, muted black and an elegant purple.

The HTC 8X is designed with a 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera on the top-left of the face. It also has HSPA+ support, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, Beats Audio, and micro-USB.

The HTC Windows Phone 8X is powered by a dedicated ImageChip like the Taiwan based company’s One-series smartphones.

More concrete details of the HTC Windows Phone 8X surface at Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 event in San Francisco on October 29, 2012. HTC has yet to officially announce the exact date the release of the phone but it is expected to launch at the start of November 2012.

The HTC 8X ‘s pre-order prices sit a shade under $640 for a 16GB sim-free unit.
