A holiday in Newquay should not be a reason for you not to enjoy fine food. Newquay, a prosperous town in Cornwall's Atlantic Coast enjoys the presence not only of amazing Newquay attractions but of many dining places that offer you gastronomic delights. A holiday in Newquay will give you the chance to indulge in the best Newquay attractions and the finest food that Newquay can offer. If you are looking for special dining places in town, here are two restaurants that pay special attention to providing their guests only with the best.
Odds - The Restaurant
If there is one restaurant that truly cares that its guests get the best and healthiest food possible, it would be Odds - The Restaurant. This place is a dream come true for owner Adam Coad who wanted a purpose built restaurant where he can share his own personal passion for fine food and wine. He wanted to create a total dining experience starting from the farm up to the table. This is what he achieved with Odds - The Restaurant which is located at Holywell Road, Cubert. The beef and lamb graze on chemical free pastures at the family farm, game come from their own shoot, honey is gathered from bees pollinating in the old fashioned orchard. They get their shellfish from local fishermen, the crabs and lobsters form Fern Pit at Crantock Bay and their organic vegetable salad from neighbouring organic growers.
The menu changes regularly depending on what locally produced ingredients are available. You must try the signature dishes that include seared pigeon breast on a beetroot risotto for starters and Ellenglaze Farm beef two ways - a pudding of braised beef and a fillet steak with rich red wine jus. There are 3 vegetarian starters and 3 mains. There are 2 course meals for £12.50 or 3 for £16. They are open for lunch and dinner. Enjoy delicious healthy meals, a stunning view and excellent service at Odds - The Restaurant. This is a perfect way to end your day of exciting sightseeing tours of Newquay attractions.
Viners Bar and Restaurant
Viners Bar and Restaurant located at Carvynick, Summercourt is owned by Jill Starling. The kitchen team is headed by Michellin starred Head Chef Kevin Viner. This restaurant serves Modern European cuisine using only the freshest locally sourced produce. Specialty of the house includes a duo of Cornish duck breast and confit. You can also get some great seafood dishes. Although the ambiance at Viners is very relaxed and friendly, the restaurant is very serious about its food. Food is served from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and lunch from 12 noon on Sunday.
