Mahindra Navistar rolled out its first truck yesterday from their Chakan Plant. Mahindra Navistar has been in the news lately due its rather daring and attractive tagline 'OK is no longer OK'. According to Mahindra Navistar, these products are set to redefine standards for Heavy Commercial Vehicles in the Indian market. To mark the occasion a press conference was held in their Chakan plant, near Pune on the 14th of June, 2010. Excitement was in the air as many journalists and media-persons waited for the unveiling of the truck and further information of the company's future plans on marketing the Mahindra Navistar project.

Â

In a nutshell, the PR brief enumerated the following important points:

Â

1. The highly anticipated MN 25 was unveiled yesterday at the company's Chakan plant.

2. The company has plans to launch the other products in the Mahindra Navistar line soon.

3. The sales of the MN 25 will commence in 2-3 months

4. Extensive sales & service network have already been developed in keeping with the release date.

Â

Mahindra Navistar has announced fulltime production and also released the pricing information. The MN25 is priced at a rather attractive price of 14.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Pune).

Â

Mr. Anand Mahindra, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra who presided at the press conference said, "This is a moment of great pride for us as the very first new product rolls out of our Chakan plant. The Chakan plant is one of the most modern plants in India and is said to create new benchmarks in automotive excellence. This plant will also help drive tremendous synergies for Mahindra Navistar with the upcoming vendor park, the common utilities and reduction in capex. We will soon be launching the rest of our HCV range from here as well."

Â

Mr. Rakesh Kalra, Managing Director, Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd., said, "The launch of MN25 truck is a major step in the direction of making us a full range commercial vehicle player and the first step in materializing our vision to become the most trusted CV brand in India."

Â

There is considerable excitement about Mahindra Navistar's competitive pricing and the truck specifications. The MN 25 is developed in collaboration with Navistar, which is a reputed global brand in trucking with about 175 years worth of experience in trucking sectors. The high performance MN25 is expected to be one of the most powerful, fuel-efficient, rugged and comfortable 25-tonner to be launched in India. Designed and developed in India with technological assistance of Navistar, who have over 175 years of trucking experience, MN25 comes with a world-class cabin which is spacious and ergonomically designed to suit Indian drivers for continuous long hauls. It's powered by the world-renowned MAXXFORCEÂ engine which is highly fuel efficient and powerful.

Â

Their campaign, 'OK will no longer be OK', promises a nationwide overhaul of the trucking standard and the MN25 is tipped to revolutionize the trucking industry. The Indian truck industry has stagnated in the very clichéd environment of old trucks with 'Horn OK Please' bumper plates. In every aspect of the truck, MN25 is touted to bring never before freshness to the trucking industry and is designed specifically for customers who want to optimize their profits and receive better return on their investments. The value-for-money pricing strategy coupled with superior product performance should help out with that.

Â

In conclusion, Mahindra Navistar MN 25 is the truck to look forward to if you own a business and require a calamitous optimization solution.
